Hello, Based on your initial query, I think its of value to note that there are two categories of problem regarding white screens on macbooks. I've done some extensive research into getting my particular macbook air a1237 to register something on the primary display to no avail. In gist, it basically boots perfectly into the mac os (sounds and all.. which I'm able to see and work with on an external display) yet the screen itself remains white.. with some faint lines. I've hence found that the two problematic "white screen" issues are: a) The white screen of death b) The white screen despite a fully functional mac (as with external display) I will attempt in this response, to list some helpful fixes for both these problems. a) The white screen of death. This problem is pretty common in the macbooks, macbook pros and macbook airs. Its catalyst lies in the computer's inability to boot of the hdd due to some form of corrupt data. Hence plugging into an external monitor does not solve anything. The solution...
Devamını okuSame issue. I ended up buying 4 replacement wifi modules to get the wifi working. The cards I bought also were tested and had 100% functionality. What occurs to me now, is that the macbook pro A1278 does not have plug and play hardware functionality. In other words, if you're swapping or adding new hardware.. it might not show up instantly as new hardware on the osx. What could work is a reinstall of osx after you've added the new hardware. Sounds bizzar, but worth a shot. If you want to go with another solution for wifi without having a huge dongle sticking out of your usb port, you should try the Eye-Fi SD cards. Basically an SD card that also has wifi on it. It'll pop into your SD slot and be hidden from view. Hope this helps, good luck
Devamını okuHey all. I'm so keen to get some kind of idea on this issue. I've pretty much replaced my airport card 3 times now and it still doesn't show up. What's even worse, is that I was replacing the glass panel on a friend's mbp A1278 2010, and before doing so made sure that her airport worked. After the replacement of the glass, boom! Airport not working: error in the indicator reads: no hardware installed. I literally redid the connections like 5 times with no joy. Tried different cables and airport combinations all made for this model, but I've had no luck. Additionally, I've reset PRAM and all that with no luck. Any help around this would be great Update: Additionally, what I find peculiar is that while the wifi doesn't work on the MBP A1278s i've been working on, the webcam and bluetooth does! Is that possible? Sounds strange since they're all connected to the Mobo by a single cable
