Is it a top load with no dial? Cabrio? If so turn it on and unplug and wait till it goes dead “ youll be impressed how long” and then wait three minutes, take a screw driver and touch the two flat leads on the plug in together “unplugged of course” then plug it in with the lid down, open the lid for sec or two then close it, used three buttons as like 1,2,3. Press 1,then 2 then 3 in normal sorta motion three times in a row, if it has a dial and the sensing, wash done spin lights under the knob, turn it a few times left, “all the way around”then right. Right. Right. Left. Right. Not to fast not to slow, every fail try, spin left few times again.
The thumb button is its own chip, most likely was left unhooked or broken during the glass swap, i did a swap on one i had before and the face cam didn’t work and the sensor to black the screen on phone calls didn’t work so i just took it to apple for warranty lmao.
I fix Appliances for a living and sound like a bad water valve to me. Or stuck float switch, it could even have a crazy water tank setup thing on the side of the unit causing issues, test for power at the water valve or simply hold the magnet/valve when it should be onand you should feel it vibrating. Otherwise, the control boards “water relay” could be worn and either replace that component or the board. When they dry wash it tears them up. Over revs, friction on the chopper, added heat, the element could sorta over heat..
I have a modded cooling setup on mine for infinte warfare and ww2 kinda game play and the system controls the frequency to the fan to control its speed, are you hearing the dvd drive? Also, you should use only a oem original fan for it, not a mimic, and take it apart atleast once a year for clean homes and every 6 months for dusty homes with pets and things, if its used alot, clean it alot! Heat is the only thing “mainly” that will kill the ps. Ive never had a system fail or break on me, or get to hot either and I play like 24/7 haha. Id make sure the sound is there when playing a downloaded game and possibly replace the fan, or turn the tv up haha.
Sounds to me like it wont drain, check the pipe with a flashlight and if you find a clog of butter, smack the pipe with your flashlight a few time while sucking on it with a shop vac, mainly after getting it drained out and cleaned in the guts area of the sump, the turbidity sensor is like a ppm meter, it reads how dirt the water is basically and some have a built in thermistor that has todo with the heat system. Try shuting the power to it down while removing the water and cleaning the sensor head.
