If your Amazon Echo show 8 is not connecting to Wi-Fi, follow the steps listed below.
Verify Network details in the Alexa app
Make sure the Device is connected to the corresponding Network.
- Open the Alexa app.
- Go to "Devices".
- Select your Echo Show 8.
- Check that the correct WiFi network and password are selected under "Wi-Fi Network".
Restart your Echo Show
The device just needs to be powered off before running again.
- Unplug your Echo Show from power for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
Restart your Router
Make sure the router is corresponding with the internet.
- Unplug your router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
Update Wi-Fi Settings on your Echo Show
Connect to specific Wi-Fi settings.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen on your Echo Show.
- Select "Settings".
- Go to "Network" and choose your WiFi network.
Check for Network Congestion
Adjust to Interference.
- Consider if too many devices are connected to your WiFi network, which might be causing interference.
Factory Reset your Echo Show
A Hard Reboot is the Last Resort option when Fixing your issue.
- Access "Settings" on your Echo Show.
- Navigate to "Device Options" and select "Reset to Factory Defaults".
