If the laptop powers on when the charger is connected, but fails to power on or stay on when disconnected, then your battery may need to be replaced. Follow the battery guide for removal.

The battery should have close to 7 hours of power. If the battery loses power quicker then it use to, or does takes much longer than normal to charge, it may need to be replaced. Follow the battery guide for removal.

If the laptop still does not power on with the adapter plugged in, then the adapter may be failing. Consider replacing the adapter.

If any of these problems are affecting your screen, consider replacing it. Follow the screen guide for removal.

If the keys are not responding, the keyboard is probably faulty. Consider replacing the whole keyboard. Follow the keyboard guide for removal.

If individual keys are failing, there may be objects obstructing the typing. Consider cleaning the keyboard. Follow the keyboard guide for removal.

If the trackpad is not moving your on-screen cursor appropriately, the trackpad may need to be replaced. Follow the trackpad guide for removal.

If your computer is running much slower than normal while programs are open or if your programs turn off unexpectedly, your motherboard may need to be replaced. Follow the motherboard guide for removal.

If saved items and folders are not being stored properly, or if they are disappearing altogether, your hard drive may need to be replaced. Follow the hard drive guide for removal.
