Device Won’t Turn On
The laptop will not turn on and shows no indication that it is receiving power.
To check that it is an issue with the device and not that it just does not have power, try using a different charger/look for damage on the charger. It may just be the device is out of power and has not been receiving any.
Camera Showing Blank Image
When apps on device utilize the camera, it “connects” but doesn’t display any image.
Check that it is not a software issue by restarting the software to see if this fixes it. You can open Task Manager, find the software being run, and click “End Task” to completely shut down software.
Go into the “Manage Cameras” section of your settings. Make sure that the camera option is enabled and that the camera is recognized in your settings. If it is not, go through the windows troubleshooter there to repair any further software issues.

Audio Output/Audio Quality is Inconsistent
Audio is no longer being admitted by device, or the sound quality of said audio is of varying quality lower then expected.
Software Specific Issue
If you think it is a problem with your speaker, check if it is a universal problem across your applications by trying them to see their sound quality. Alternatively plug in headphones to see if it is a problem with the software or the device.
Windows Audio Malfunction
If it is a software issue as mentioned above, then you must go to the “Sound Settings” section of your settings. And use the windows troubleshooter found there to help figure out your issue.
Internet Not Connecting
The internet is not connecting to your network, or any other network.
Try connecting to another network on your device to see if that connects successfully. If connects to it, then it is a problem with your network and not the device. Alternatively you can try to use another device to connect to your current network. If that device also cannot connect to the network, then it is an issue with the network and not the device.
Windows Wifi Malfunction
Use the built in windows tool for troubleshooting wifi. This can be found in the wifi settings of settings. If this troubleshooter is successful, it will outline the issue and give you instructions on how to solve it.
Faulty Wifi Card
If none of the above methods prove useful, it means that there is an issue with your wifi card. This will have to be replaced and the guide for that can be found here.
Device running very slow.
Device runs apps slower then normal, everything takes longer then it should.
Check your task manager and go under startup. If you have a lot of programs enabled for startup on your computer that you’ve accumulated over time, this could also contribute to a large decrease in performance.
There are many third party applications that could be impacting your device speed, through releasing corrupted data to the system. Check everything that you’ve downloaded by looking at your task manager. Then uninstall things you do not need/seem to be causing a lot of power usage. Considering performing a soft reset of your entire computer if there are too many to sort through. A guide to perform a soft reset can be found here.
Faulty Hard Drive
It is possible there are issues with the startup, which could be a faulty hard drive. If all else fails you should replace it by following the guide found here.
Poor Battery Life
The battery drains way faster then it is supposed to, much quicker then when originally bought device.
Inspect the charging cable for any exterior damage to see if it is the problem. If you have available a second charger, try plugging that in to see if you get better results.
Open your task manager to check the battery consumption of programs running. Task manager will list it based on the most “demanding” programs. If there are programs running that you don’t use, you should uninstall them as they are consuming your battery life.
