Toaster Oven Won’t Power On
The light won’t turn on, or the heating elements won’t warm up.
Faulty or damaged power cable
Confirm that power cord is plugged in. If so, check if power cord is secured to the back of the toaster.
If the power cord is loose or broken, see our Power Cord replacement guide.
Door Doesn’t Open or Close Properly
The glass door sticks when opening or closing.
If the door does not swing smoothly or does not close completely, check for obstruction.
In the event of any visibly broken hinges or glass, see our Door Replacement guide.
Food Cooks Unevenly
Parts of food are either too cold or too hot.
Upper heating element is broken
If food is unevenly cooked on the top, the upper heating element may be broken.
Lower heating element is broken
If food is unevenly cooked on the bottom, the lower heating element may be broken.
These problems may indicate a faulty heating element. See our Heating Element Replacement guide.
Inaccurate Timing
The built-in timer is inaccurate or does not function correctly.
Timer is broken
Check the timer's accuracy against another timer, the timer may either be too fast or too slow. If the timer doesn't function at all, replacement may be necessary. See our Timer Replacement Guide.
This timer comes installed as a closed unit: we recommend replacing it entirely.
Overcooking or Undercooking Food
The oven does not heat to a consistent temperature regardless of heat setting.
Timer is broken
Use a second timer to check that the oven’s timer is accurate. If not, see our Timer Replacement guide.
Heating element is broken
If the timer is accurate, the heating element may be faulty. See our Heating Element Replacement guide.
