Clogged Foot Assembly
To fix a clogged Bissell PowerFresh Steam Mop foot assembly or mop head, unplug the unit, remove the mop head, and clear the spray tip at the bottom of the mop body with a paper clip or similar tool. If that doesn't work, you may need to soak the foot in a solution of white vinegar and water to dissolve mineral buildup. Follow this guide for instructions on how to remove the foot assembly.
Clogged Nozzle
To address a Bissell PowerFresh Steam Mop leaking from a clogged nozzle, turn off the unit, allow it to cool, and use a paper clip or cleaning tool to clear any debris from the nozzle. You can also try soaking the clogged part in a water-vinegar solution to dissolve mineral buildup.
Broken Pump
If the nozzle is clear but no steam is produced, the pump or water lines may be clogged with mineral buildup. To fix this, soak the spout or nozzle in white vinegar overnight to dissolve the deposits, then flush the system with warm water to remove any remaining vinegar. If the issue persists, the pump motor or tubing may need to be dismantled and cleaned by carefully opening the unit and cleaning the pump mechanism. Follow this guide for instructions to replace the pump.
Broken Heater
- Check the power supply. Try changing outlets to check if the mop is receiving power.
