Canon Pixma MG7720 Poor Print Quality

If your Canon Pixma MG7720 is producing prints with poor quality (streaks, faded colors, or missing areas), follow this troubleshooting guide.

A low ink cartridge can cause prints to appear faded or incomplete. Check the printer settings to ensure the ink levels are sufficient, as running low on ink will significantly affect print quality. Replacing the ink cartridge is often necessary.

The steps to replace the ink cartridge are as follows:

1. Ensure the printer is turned on. Gently open the paper output tray.
2. Lift and open the operation panel until it stops. The print head holder should move to the replacement position.
3. Push the tab on the cartridge with a blinking red light and lift the ink tank to remove it.
4. Take a new ink tank out of its package, remove the orange tape and protective film completely.
5. Hold the ink tank with the orange protective cap pointing up, then lift the tab on the orange cap to remove it gently.
6. Insert the front end of the ink tank into the print head at a slant, ensuring it matches the label.
7. Press on top of the ink tank until it snaps firmly into place. Ensure the ink lamp lights up.
8. Close the operation panel gently.
9. If a message appears on the screen, tap OK

Clogged printheads can result in streaks, lines, or missing sections in your prints. This issue arises when dried ink or debris obstructs the nozzles, preventing the proper flow of ink. This means that they must be replaced so that the ink can print clearly.
