Device Won’t Turn On

We will now troubleshoot what is causing your device to not turn on

Test Your AC Jack

Using a multi-meter set on DC in the 12V range, touch the red prong to the prong inside the jack and the black on the outer shell inside the jack. It should read the proper voltage if working. If not, desolder the jack and replace it with another.

Test Your Switch

Disassemble the device. Then put multi-meter on the terminals of the switch. It should read the proper voltage if the part is working. If not, desolder the component and replace it.

Device Won’t Feed the Money

We will check to see why the money is not going in

Check Motor

If no noise is made, the motor may not be secured in the plug correctly. If so, push it together until it clicks into place. The wire attaching the motor to the board may be disconnected as well. If so, solder the wire back onto the board.

Check Motor Band

If a noise is being made, the belt for the motor assembly may be broken. If so, replace the part.

Can’t See the Display

If the device is turned on and it beeps but the display does not work—here is what to do.

Check Display Connector

Check to see if the display is connected properly. If it is connected, but still not working replace the display board.

Displays the Wrong Output

The most common issue for an incorrect fail is that the sensors are dirty. The most common fix is to use isopropyl alcohol to clean the board and sensors.
