If your DJI Phantom 3 Standard Remote Controller will not fully charge, follow this troubleshooting guide.
Charge Cord is not Fully Inserted
Inspect the charging cord. Ensure the cord is properly inserted into the port. If it is not fully inserted, push the cord in further.
Controller Needs to be Reset
If the controller is relaying that it is partially charged, a controller reset is necessary. To reset the controller:
- Turn on the controller
- Turn the controller around
- Press the C1, C2, and Shutter buttons at the same time.
Once done in succession, you will hear a small beep noise. At this indication, turn the controller off. Wait a moment and then press the power button. All battery indicator lights should turn on.
Battery Requires Disconnection
The controller battery will need to be unplugged. Wait a moment after unplugging the battery, then plug it back in. Turn the controller on and if it indicates that it is not fully charged, then replace the battery.
Battery Must be Replaced
This controller runs on a 6000mAh/44.40Wh battery pack, which you can buy here. Follow the battery replacement guide to properly switch out the battery.
