Debris Jamming
Small debris can enter the joystick housing from the outside and create resistance. To remove debris, follow the controller disassembly guide. Locate the two black boxes which are the joystick houses. Debris can be removed from them using the standard computer duster spray or hobby tweezers.
Tweezers can be purchased here.
Joystick Anchoring Posts are Cracked
The anchoring posts that connect the joystick housing to the body of the controller may be cracked. This will cause the joystick and its housing to feel loose when in use. To access the joystick housing, follow the controller disassembly guide. identify and inspect potential areas that are compacted and have cracks.
Lubrication Issues
There are two lubrication issues that may occur:
Excess lubrication on the joystick housing will cause the lubricant to create resistance over time. The extra lubricant will need to be removed. To access the joystick housing, follow the controller disassembly guide. After locating the housing, wipe up excess lubricant with a cue tip or rag.
Areas lacking lubrication will cause resistance in functions. If an area is lacking lubrication, add silicone grease to the moving intersections of the joystick housing.
Silicone grease can be purchased here.
Dust blower can be purchased here.
Wires are not Glued
Wires in the controller are not properly set into place. Glue and connect the appropriate wires.
Glue can be purchased here.
Purchased glue must conduct enough heat to function with soldering the wires into place.
