Not Making Sound

I can't get any noise to come from the speaker of my tablet.

Low Volume

Using the volume buttons, make sure the sound is set to an audible level.

Faulty Speaker

If the speaker in the tablet is worn out from overuse, you may want to consider replacing the speaker. Refer to our replacement guide for instructions on speaker replacement.

Faulty App or Source

To check if the problem is the application, try opening another source with sound to check if the audio works for something else. We recommend that you find an audio source from a different app. For example, if the audio does not work on a video streaming app, try opening a song in the tablet's music playing app. If the sound works when being used by a different app, the next step is to investigate the reason why the faulty app is not working well with the tablet's audio.

Running Slowly

For some reason, my tablet is taking a long time to perform any task.

Low Memory Space

Check the System Monitor tool (from Apps -> Running), disable any apps you don't use very often. Then check if you can set others you don't recognize to background apps. Be careful not to delete apps you don't know, as doing so may cause more serious device malfunction.

Too Many Background Apps Running

Some of the biggest memory-intensive background running applications are games. If an app that you're familiar with is running that is not necessary, go ahead and close it. If you're not familiar with an app that is running, it is recommended that you don't close it, as some are necessary for the tablet to function properly.

Computer Virus

If you don't already, it is a great idea to get a virus protection software for your tablet. These can be downloaded from the web easily.

A good way to get rid of most viruses is to perform a factory reset on the device from the repair and formatting in the Settings menu.

Touchscreen Inoperable

My tablet's screen is not responding to anything that I touch, or is not responding well.

Faulty Calibration

Locate the option to calibrate the touchscreen of the tablet, and follow the steps provided.

Interference from Protective Case

If you are using a protective covering or case on the tablet, try removing the tablet to check if the issue is from the case or the tablet. Protective cases often interfere with the screen's ability to respond to commands.

Dirty Screen

Having debris or water drops on the screen can cause the tablet to respond to unintentional commands or not respond to commands. Make sure the screen is clean before attempting to replace the screen.

Dropped Tablet

Dropping or hitting the tablet can cause the digitizer or the sensor to adjust or malfunction. You may want to consider realigning your screen, or replacing it. Refer to our replacement guide to replace the tablet's screen.

Tablet Will Not Charge

My tablet either will not charge, or is not holding a charge.

Using Unauthorized Charger

Try using a different reputable charger with your tablet. Newer devices sometimes rely on certain signals from the charging circuit, so using a different charger won't start charging the battery.

Bad Charger/Power Supply

Make sure the battery charger is properly plugged into the tablet (microUSB) and the outlet. Consider trying to charge a different compatible device with the charger as a way to test if the charger is working. Also, if the output is listed (Amps and Volts), and you know how to use a multimeter, check the output with the multimeter (but be careful not to touch 2 pins at once as this may cause a destructive electrical "short").

Battery Life Not Lasting

If you are not using the internet, it is recommended that you turn off the wifi on your tablet, as it uses quite a bit of the battery.

You may also check the apps running in the background, and turn off any that are unnecessary. Good apps to close are music listening apps, and games.

Finally, batteries do have a charge/recharge life expectancy due to chemistry. Therefore, we must accept that they eventually get to the point of needing to be replaced. Please refer to our battery replacement guide.

Tablet is Frozen

My tablet will not perform any tasks, and seems to be locked up from all activity.

Lack of memory

Check the System Monitor tool (from Apps -> Running), disable any apps you don't use very often. Then check if you can set others you don't recognize to background apps. Be careful not to delete apps you don't know, as doing so may cause more serious device malfunction.

Computer Virus

Many times, viruses cause tablets to freeze. If you don't already, it is a great idea to get a virus protection software for your tablet. These can be downloaded from the web easily.

A good way to get rid of most viruses is to perform a factory reset on the device from the repair and formatting section in the Settings menu.

Faulty App

If your device is freezing while playing a game or using an application, try deleting the application and re-installing it.
