Ensure that Wi-Fi is turned on or toggle it again.
Your Chromebook should automatically connect to known networks, however sometimes it takes a few tries to detect all the nearby networks.
-Turn your Chromebook on
-Click your account photo
-Click “No Network”, if it says “Connected to” then you are already connected to that network.
-Click the switch to turn on the Wi-Fi, wait about 10 seconds
-If your network doesn’t come up, then click the switch again twice to turn it off and back on.
-If your network still doesn’t appear then there is a bigger problem.
Try to connect something else to the Network.
Wi-Fi is incredibly complicated and there are a lot more problems that can be on the Router side than on the Computer Side.
Try to connect to the network on another device, like a phone or laptop. If nothing else can connect, then the problem is with the network and not the Chromebook itself.
Factory Reset Your Chromebook
It could be a Software problem; files get corrupted on computers all the time. There is nothing you can do if core files get corrupted on your Chromebook besides hoping a reset works.
Hardware Issue
If it’s a hardware problem, then you’ll have to open your computer to figure out what broke. More than likely it is the Search that broke or got dislodged.
It can also be a problem with the Search, a pin could be broken or the connection to the Wi-Fi card could be damaged. Either way, you might have to replace it.
