Touchscreen is not responding
No matter what you do, the screen will not respond.
The screen is dirty
Wipe the screen with a microfiber cloth and get rid of any water or grease as they will interfere with the touch screen recognition.
The screen is broken or cracked
The screen should be replaced if it is broke or cracked. We highly recommend buying the new screen through a certified supplier or retailer.
Phone not powering on/charging
Your phone will not turn on or charge regardless of holding the power button and plugging your phone into the charger.
The battery is dead
Your battery's power goes down even though you don't use it. If the battery is dead, make sure to charge it with a compatible charger or by introducing another charged battery.
The charger is broken
Test your charger on another phone with the similar input USB port in order to confirm that the problem is the charger and not the phone or the battery.
The battery is not properly installed
The battery must be completely inserted on the port so the all the pins make contact with the phone. Without proper contact, the phone won’t receive power from the battery.
The phone has physical/water damage
If your phone is dropped or comes into contact with water, it could have internal damages you don’t perceive with your eyes. You should take your phone to a specialized technician in order to find out if it is necessary to replace the charging port, the motherboard, or any other internal component.
Distorted/broken speaker
When using the speaker, the sound is distorted or does not work at all.
Low volume settings
Improve volume levels by using the buttons on one side of the phone. In order to increase the volume, use the upper button and on the screen you should be able to control the desire level you want to reach.
Speaker is dirty
If the speaker is dirty then there may be materials blocking the speaker grill. In order to resolve this matter, use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe away any visible dirt/dust blocking the speaker. Be sure not to use water or cleaning products as this may cause further damage to your device.
Speaker is faulty
The speaker in the phone is probably not working. Turn off the phone and remove the battery. After that, reinsert the battery to the phone and let it restart. If the problem persists, maybe speaker should be replaced.
Speaker sounds "tinny"
If your phone's speaker is make a “tinny” noise, then there may be internal damage to the speaker. First, turn off the phone and remove the battery. Next, reinsert the battery into the phone and let turn the phone back on. If the problem persists, then the speaker may have irreversible internal damage.
Poor battery life
Your phones battery does not last as long as it should.
Background applications
Closing running applications can improve battery performance. Do this by pressing the Home key and swiping left or right on any application you wish to close.
Malfunctioning charger
If your phone is not charging when connected to the appropriate charger, then the charger may be malfunctioning. First test your phone with a similar charger to make sure the issue is not with the phone's charging port. If your phone works properly with a different charger then you may need to replace your current charger. In addition, if you’re receiving an error message when charging, you may be using an incompatible charger.
Not ideal power management settings
To change power settings press the Menu key from the Home screen. Go to Settings and multiple options to reduce power use are available. Turn off 4G, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth off to conserve battery.
Outdated software
Outdated software can adversely affect battery performance. To see if you need an update tap the Menu key from the Home screen. Then go to Settings - System updates - HTC Software Update - Check now. If your software is not up to date you can use this to update it.
Malfunctioning SD card
A malfunctioning SD card can adversely affect battery performance. Safely remove the SD card. Do this by hitting the menu key, going to Settings - Storage - hitting Unmount SD Card, turning off the phone, removing the battery and then the SD card.
Phone is unresponsive, freezes, or restarts
Your phone becomes slow, unresponsive, or even restarts on its own.
Running background applications
Close background applications to improve performance. Do this by pressing the ‘’’Home’’’ key and swiping left or right on any application you wish to close.
Full application cache
Clearing the application cache can improve performance. To do this go press the Menu key and go to Settings - Apps - All tab, tap the application whose cache you wish to clear.
Memory issues
To determine if your phone has low memory hit the Menu key, then go to Settings - Storage - Internal storage and determine how much memory your phone has. You can then delete unused applications and data.
Outdated software
To see if you need an update tap the Menu key from the Home screen. Then go to Settings - System updates - HTC Software Update - Check now. If your software is not up to date you can use this to update it.

Safely remove the SD card. Do this by hitting the menu key, going to Settings - Storage - hitting Unmount SD Card, turning off the phone, removing the battery and then the SD card.
