Close Running Applications

Often applications will still be opened and still running. When this happens, it is common that the applications that are still open and running still draining the battery without our knowledge. With the HTC One Remix you are able to press the home button twice to see all the applications that are draining the battery at the moment. From this stage you are able to close the applications so that they will not be draining the battery anymore. If you wish to close an application(s), with your finger, swipe to the side (left or right) or by tapping on the close icon. If this does not extend the battery life of the HTC One Remix then another option is a factory reset, as the Touchscreen does not respond to touch section explains how to accomplish a factory reset with HTC One Remix.

Another Battery

Closing all the applications may help extend the battery life of the HTC One Remix because there are not applications draining the battery anymore. If the device is continuing to have random shutdowns with no applications draining the battery in the background, and a factory reset does not help the issue then it is likely that the battery will need to be replaced.

Battery will not recharge

Although the phone is connected to a charger the device does not charge.

Charger

When the device is plugged into the wall it is important to check that the outlet on the wall you are using is operational. To check to see if the problem is the charger you may use the charger for other electronic devices that accept a charge through the same connection shape. If no other electronic device will be able to charge from the charger then it is the charger that needs to be replaced. Charging chords that have rips in them or have wires exposed are not safe to use nd should be disposed of.

Recalibrate the battery

If other electronic devices are able to accept a charge then the issue is not in the charger and is in the phone. One option is to recalibrate the battery by charging it for twenty minutes until the red LED light is on, then pressing the power button for a 5-10 seconds to turn the device on. If the device is still not able to turn on then hold down the power button and the volume up and down buttons together from about 1-5 minutes. If the issue is not solved by looking at the charger or re-calibrating your battery then the battery itself may need to be replaced.
