LG Rumor Touch Troubleshooting

You hold down the power button, and nothing happens.

The keyboard button pad may be dirty, disconnected or broken inside the phone. If this is the case, take the phone apart, clean the button pad and examine its connection to the logic board for breaks or extreme wear.

The battery may be worn out, causing it not to hold a charge. If this is the case, a replacement must be installed.

The logic board of the phone may be fried. If this is the case, a replacement must be installed.

You charge your phone, and nearly immediately after you unplug the phone from the outlet, the phone turns off.

The charging cable may not be fully plugged into the LG Rumor Touch or into the wall outlet. Double-check to make sure the charging wire and plug are fully secured into both the LG Rumor Touch and the outlet.

The battery may be worn out, causing it not to hold a charge. If this is the case, a replacement must be installed.

The charging cable may be broken or bent restricting the flow of electricity. If this is the case, a replacement charging cable must be ordered.

You try to take a picture and the picture is distorted.

The image is distorted when you try to take a picture. If this is the case you will need to replace the camera lens.

If the camera is completely dirty it will show a black screen. If it is semi-dirty it will show a distorted image. If either of these cases is present you must take apart the phone and clean the camera lens.

There is no sound when phone rings, plays music, or when alarm clock goes off

The speakers may be broken, if this is the case you need to take phone apart ,remove speaker, and have a new replacement.

The logic board may be worn out or unresponsive. Remove all parts leading to logic board and have replacement of board.

"The keys do not respond to being pressed, or the keys stick when pressed"

The keyboard pad could be broken, if this happens you may need to disassemble the phone, and put in a new keyboard pad.

If the logic board is unresponsive. Disassemble the device and put in a replacement.

In this case simply disassemble the phone and clean out the keyboard pad. If keyboard remains unresponsive consider replacement.
