Headset Isn't Recognized by Computer
The headset G733 won’t connect even though the device is fully charged.
USB Not Properly Plugged In
Unplug and plug the receiver back in.
Ensure the product or receiver is connected directly to the computer. Also, move the device closer to the USB receiver to avoid getting the signal blocked and causing a delay. Likewise, keep other receiver wireless devices away from the USB receiver to avoid interference.
If that does not work:
Remove the left earmuff by pulling it off and use a safety pin to press the reset button for 5-10 seconds. Start from the top to put back the earmuff.
Dirty/Clogged USB
Remove the USB receiver and clean off all of the connector pins before reinserting the USB.
Crackling Microphone
Your microphone is distorting your voice with a constant crackling noise.
Not Fully Plugged In
Remove your microphone and attempt to plug it back in. Make sure that the microphone is fully inserted into the headphone jack and that it clicks into place.
Dirty Microphone Jack
Try removing the microphone from the headset to wipe off the metal plug and then attempt to plug it back into the headphone jack, making sure to plug it all the way in.
Needs Reconfiguring
While your headphones are connected to your computer, go into Windows settings, press system, then click "Sound" on the left-hand side of the screen, then click “Sound Control Panel” on the right-hand side of the screen. Once you’ve made it into the sound control panel, Click on the recording tab, and double-click on “Microphone.” Finally, disable and re-enable the mic under “device usage” and make sure to apply each setting.
Needs Replacement
If all else fails and you think you need to replace the microphone jack, you can follow this guide to replace your headphone jack.
Distorted Audio
Does everything sound crackling like you’re having bad phone connections during a phone call?
Moisture Damage
Like most other electronics, liquids, and moisture do not mix well. For this issue, you will need isopropyl alcohol and some silica gel. Dampen a cloth with the alcohol and apply it to the areas that encountered the liquid. Then place the headphones into an airtight container with silica gel for about 12 hours or more to allow them to dry. Finally, when the headphones are dry, conduct a quick audio test.
Foreign Bodies
Like any other device, headphones can also accumulate dust and dirt. This issue could also be the root of any distorted audio coming from the device. To get rid of the foreign bodies, use isopropyl alcohol and a cloth to clean the obstruction.
Wireless Connection Issues
It can be caused by mismatched codecs. Your headphones transmit audio through codecs that compress and decompress it for transmission. A lower-level codec may be used if the audio device does not have the same codec as the headphones. As a result of the different codecs used, performance may be unpredictable. Aside from an out-of-specification codec, it could also just be the result of low battery levels. This will cause headphones to inconsistently perform at varying levels and might affect sound quality. To fix this issue, reset the headphones and/or connected device.
Fails to Turn On
After pressing the power button, the device still will not turn on.
Not Charged
Try leaving the device plugged in for a few hours and then try to turn it on. Try a different charging cord to ensure that it's not an issue with the cord.
Needs Reset
If the charging cord is not the issue, you can try resetting the headset. There is a small hole in the left earmuff where you can insert a small pin to reset it. Alternatively, you can remove the right earmuff and press the reset button.
Needs Replacement
If the plastic button itself and you need to replace it, you can follow this guide to replace your power button.
Headset Isn't Charging
The device refuses to charge.
Charging Cord Is Not Properly Connected.
Ensure the cord is connected either to your laptop or wall plug-in. Unplug the wire and visually check to make sure there is no debris blocking the connectivity to the headphones. Ensure the charger is placed correctly in the slot hearing an audible clicking noise. Double-check by pulling gently on the wire to see if it comes out. The headphones should give off a visual indicator by glowing when charging. From there reconnect the end of the charger to the laptop or wall plug-in. The headphones should glow giving a visual indicator that it is charging. If you suspect the port itself is broken use this guide to replace your charging port.
Broken Charger
If you know that the device is properly plugged in, but you aren't receiving any indication that it is charging, then you may want to consider if the charger is broken. Remedy this by using a different cable to charge the device. If it still does not charge with a different cable then you know it's not the charging cord.
Battery Connection Issues
If there are no lights coming from the headphones it may be an issue with the battery. Take off the right headphone earmuff marked with an “R”. Then unscrew the four screws from the headphones. From there take the plastic piece off and set it aside. After that take the battery, which is a small grey rectangle, and either replace or clean off to battery. Connect the battery and reattach the plastic cover. Finally, screw in the four screws and attach the earmuff.
Dead Battery
You can test to see if the battery is dead by pulling it out and checking it with a multimeter. If you need to replace it, you can follow this guide to replace your battery.
