If your Milwaukee M12 2592-20 speaker is unable to connect via Bluetooth to other device, this page may have possible solutions to fix the problem.
Device Not In Range
- Ensure your phone or tablet is within 30 feet (9 meters).
- Remove large obstructions (metal surfaces, walls, machinery).
- Move closer to the speaker and attempt pairing again.
Depleted Battery
A low or missing battery can prevent Bluetooth from functioning properly. The battery pack is inserted, but the device is not turning on.
- Hit the power button to turn the speaker off
- Press down and remove the M12 battery pack.
- Press the battery’s fuel gauge button to check charge level.
- If low, use the power cord and fully charge the battery.
- Once fully charged, reinsert the battery securely by pressing it into the battery slot.
- Turn the speaker back on with the power button and attempt to connect again.
Tip: Make sure the battery clicks firmly into place.
Not in Pairing Mode
The Bluetooth may not be working because of errors while pairing with current devices such as iPhone’s, Tablets, MAC’s, etc.
Pairing errors are a common cause of connection problems.
Steps:
- Turn the speaker on by pressing the power button
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button until the indicator light flashes (about 5–10 seconds).
This should clear previous connections and put the speaker into pairing mode.
On Your Phone/Tablet:
- Open Bluetooth tab in the settings app
- Locate the Milwaukee M12 2592-20 in the device list.
- Select “Forget” or “Remove Device.”
- Scan for new devices in the Bluetooth tab
- Select the speaker and pair again.
Faulty Battery
Bluetooth could not be connected because the battery is low or the battery itself is not present within the device.
- A battery becomes faulty when it can no longer safely store and deliver electrical energy the way it was designed to.
- This can happen gradually through wear and tear or suddenly due to damage or internal failure.
Bluetooth Module Damaged
Physical damage of the device could play a role in how the device functions and performs the task it was designed to do, including Bluetooth. Physical damage can affect Bluetooth performance. If it has been damaged, the main board will need to be replaced.
