Atrix HD Won't Turn On
No matter what you do, you can't get your Atrix HD to turn on.
Drained/Bad Battery
If your Atrix HD won't turn on, you may simply have a drained battery. Be sure to use a genuine Motorola charger, and plug the phone in for 2-3 hours. If the phone will not turn on after that time, more steps will need to be taken to diagnose the issue.
Wall Charger
If you use a wall charger to charge your phone and your phone is not charging, here is a quick checklist of items that can be the cause.
First check if the wall outlet is receiving power:
If not, check if the outlet can be reset.
If yes, try either a known good power outlet or a powered USB port.
If yes, then the wall charger for the device is no longer operational and should be discarded.
If you require a new wall charger, here is a link to a Motorola charger compatible with the Atrix HD:

Charging cable
Check your cable and make sure there is no visible damage
If damage is visible, replace the cable.
If there is no visible damage, the wire inside the protective outer housing could be damaged or frayed from the cable being kinked or misused. A new cable will be required.
Charging port and motherboard
If the device is still not able to turn on or the device will only charge intermittently, the charging port may be damaged, and require replacement.
If the charging port is functioning properly and no charging occurs, the motherboard will need to be replaced

Faulty Display
It is possible that the phone is turning on, however it appears that nothing is happening because the LCD display is bad.
If the phone shows signs of damage to the LCD display, and turned on before the damage occurred, replacing the display may correct the problem.

Faulty Motherboard
If you have charged the battery with an approved charger, the battery and LCD display are good, and there are no LED lights indicating power to the phone, the problem most likely lies in the motherboard.

Atrix HD Won't Charge
Despite being plugged into a power source, the Atrix HD will not charge.
Faulty Charging Cable
Try charging a similar device with the cable. If the similar device will also not charge, the charging cable is faulty and should be replaced.
It is important to make sure that the charger is Motorola brand. Power supplies from other manufacturers may charge with improper amperage or voltage causing damage to the device, or a slow charge condition.
Bad Battery
Charge the Atrix HD for 2-3 hours with a Motorola brand power supply and cable that is known to work.
If the phone will not take a charge, it is very likely that the battery has exceeded its life cycle or was damaged by an improper charging device.

Cannot Read Atrix HD Screen
The screen on the phone is not able to be read.
Phone is Powered Off or Low on Charge
Make sure phone is powered on and fully charged. If the phone is powered off, the screen will be black and not display any images. When phone is low on charge, it will go into power saving mode and dim the backlight to preserve the remainder of the charge. Charging the device will allow the screen to display at full brightness.
Screen is Dim
Check the light settings on the phone. In bright, direct sunlight, the screen may appear dim. Simply go to settings, then brightness and boost the backlighting on the phone.
Water Damage
If the phone has been exposed to water, it may have suffered water damage. Water damage may cause the display to not function properly. Water damage typically causes extensive internal damage. There is likely not a simple fix for this, and may be cause to replace the phone. A professional will be able to further evaluate and assess the situation.

Dirty Lens
The most common problem causing distorted camera images is simply a dirty lens cover. If the camera lens is dirty, it can cause a blurry, cloudy, or distorted image. Clean lens gently with a microfiber cloth and appropriate cleaner taking care not to scratch the lens.
Lack of Focus
Often the camera will not focus if the phone is not held still. Be sure to hold the camera still while allowing the camera to focus on the desired image. Check in the photo settings and make sure that image stabilizing is set to "ON".
Reflections and direct light can also affect the quality of the image. If the camera is having trouble focusing, try adjusting the distance or angle of the photo.

1 Yorum
I was told it may not turn on as it may be full memory, and the cookies may need deleting. I tried to hold the buttons down together as instructed while it is turned on without success. I will try charge it again tomorrow and try again, it has been a while since I last tried a fix. I need to access some data that is on the phone.
