Mr. Rice SC-887 Troubleshooting

No matter what you do, you can't get your Mr. Rice SC-887 to heat up even if the cook button is in place and the outlet works.

If your power cord is broken, frayed, or cut you will need to replace the power cord completely in order to restore power for your Mr. Rice SC-887. Your cord could still be the problem even if it is not broken, frayed, or cut due to an internal problem with the power cord.

Are you still not getting power to your Mr. Rice SC-887 and your cord is connected properly? Your internal circuitry could be corrupt and will need to be closely examined and restored in order to generate power back to your rice cooker.

If your Mr. Rice SC-887 is working properly but the indicator light is not working, your rice cooker's light might be out.

If your rice cooker power light is not working but the cooker is heating properly, there is a possibility it is burnt out. To test, you can turn the cooker over and examine the bulb by "moving the wires around" to see if you have a shortage. If the light does not come on, you will need to replace the bulb.

If you are getting power to your Mr. Rice SC-887 but it is not heating properly, then your heating plate might be detached from your internal circuitry. You will need to test your circuitry for power to the heating plate on the rice cooker.

If your Mr. Rice Cooker SC-887 is not heating properly, your hot plate could be broken. You will need to replace the hot plate springs in order to fix this heating problem.
