The LCD Monitor is Unsteady and Loose
The LCD monitor swivels excessively and the screen appears cracked.
The Monitor is Loose and Unstable
If the monitor is loose and swivels excessively, try tightening the two screws on the inside of the monitor. They may have become loose during use.
If the LCD monitor is still loose, consider contacting Panasonic and replacing it.
The Monitor's Screen is Cracked
Some tiny bright or dark spots may appear on the LCD monitor screen; however, this is not a malfunction and it will not affect the recorded picture.
If the monitor's screen is visibly cracked, it needs to be replaced.
The Camera Lens is Unclear When Looking Through it
The images through the lens appear distorted.
The Camera Lens is Cracked
If the lens is cracked, it will need to be replaced.
The Camera Lens is Dirty
Be extremely careful when cleaning your camera lens. Lenses are very fragile. We suggest two cleaning options: using a can of compressed air and using specific lens cleaner and a cloth. Do not use Windex and paper towels. It can damage your lens further. Instead, go to your local technology store and purchase lens cleaners specifically designed to clean the lens and leave it streak-free.
The Access Lamp is Not Lit Up
The access lamp does not turn on while recording.
The Access Lamp Will Not Turn On
When this unit is accessing the SD card or built-in memory, the access lamp should light up. If your access lamp is not lighting up when the SD card is in place, consider replacing.
The Zoom Button is Stuck to One Side
The Zoom Button Won't Function Properly
If the zoom button does not move back and forth properly or gets stuck in one place, see if anything is making it stick. If there is dirt or residue surrounding the button, use a toothpick to scrape it away. This should remove most of the residue. Next, use a solvent such as rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to wipe away the rest of the residue.
If the zoom button still gets stuck, it will need to be replaced.
The Battery is Malfunctioning
The Camera Will Not Power On
Be sure to not overcharge your camera's battery and power it down when it is not in use. If the battery continues to not hold a charge, consider replacing it.
The Battery Gets Uncomfortably Hot During Use
If the battery feels overheated, turn the video camera off for a substantial amount of time and allow to cool. Be sure to store in a room-temperature or cool environment of anywhere between 59 degrees Fahrenheit and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Make sure to store your device in a dry environment as well. Condensation and humidity can cause permanent damage to your device and battery.
