Drained/Faulty Battery
Be certain that device is plugged in and the battery is in its respective position before taking the device apart. Click here to access the guide to replace the battery for your device.
Faulty Display
It is possible that if the device is provided with a sufficient power supply and the device demonstrates symptoms of that of a device which is not plugged in, the display screen may be the source of the problem. Click here to access the guide to replace the display for your device.
Faulty Motherboard
A faulty motherboard may be the source of why the device appears to not turn on. Replacement of the motherboard is necessary only if the above troubleshooting recommendations have been considered. Click here to access the guide to replace the motherboard for your device.
Severed Speaker Leads
Volume Check
Be sure the volume of the device is in the on position. Click here to access the guide to replace the speaker of your device.
Alarm Function Check
Test the sound of your device by first setting the clock time and the alarm time to coincide with a convenient time as to determine whether the alarm works auditory. Test the functionality of the radio by selecting both the AM and FM frequency. Click here to access the guide to replace the speaker of your device.
Speaker Check
If any of the above mentioned auditory functions of the device are in proper working order, it is likely that the two wires which lead to the speaker are not severed. However, if their is no sound coming from the device when the device is in an auditorily engaged position, it is likely that the two wires leading to speaker are severed. The wires may be reconnected to the their respective contact points located on the back of the speaker through the use of a soldering iron. Immovable Tuning Wheel
Gear Set Check
If the tuning wheel located on the side of the device catches when the wheel is turned, it is possible that the gear has slipped which could cause the belt to tangle when the gear is turned. Click here to access the guide to replace the tuning wheel of your device.
Stuck Piece in Gear
Another possibly is one which a small piece from the device breaks away from its intended location and is wedged into the gear. One would be required to disassemble the device to diagnose the problem. Click here to access the guide to replace the tuning wheel of your device.
