Button Won't Press Down

The large gray button that turns the blade refuses to press down.

Lid is Not Secure

The lid of the mini chopper must be locked into place before the button may be pressed. Before assembly, make sure all parts are very clean.

First, make sure the main container is securely fastened. To do so, align the two bumps on the clear container with the grooves on the black body. Twist clockwise until the container locks in place.

The blade must also be in place in order for the lid to fit on the container. Using caution, place the blade over the middle pillar. Push gently while twisting slowly until the blade slides down in place.

Place the lid on the top of the container so that its white dot is pointing away from you and the white dot on the black body is pointing to your right. While pressing down gently, turn the lid clockwise until both dots are aligned and the lid locks in place.

If the lid refuses to lock completely, the locking switch may be jammed. Make sure there is no debris blocking its movement. If the switch is clear and the lid still refuses to lock, try replacing the switch.

Lid is Broken

If lid is missing its side tabs, it is broken and needs to be replaced.

Pressing the Button Yields No Result

The button can be pressed, but there is no response from the blade.

Chopper is Unplugged

The mini chopper must be powered in order to function. Make sure the power cable is plugged into a socket.

Components are Broken

There are many other components that are necessary for the chopper to function. Refer to the Rival Mini Chopper Page for replacement guides.

Blade Has Stopped Spinning

The blade has stopped spinning mid-use for an unknown reason.

Blade is Jammed

The blade may be jammed by food. Note that the maximum capacity of the blender is 1 1/2 cups. If there is more than this amount of food in the blender, remove it before attempting to un-jam the blender.

Make sure the chopper is unplugged. With caution, remove any large pieces of food that may be stopping the blade from spinning. Once the blade's pathway is clear, plug in the chopper again and attempt to spin the blade.
