Temperatures rise to unsafe levels which can damage users or components of device.
After removing the back cover, spray canned air at vents from inside to outside to remove dust and dirt. Then gently clean the fan blades with a tissue or q-tip.
Insufficient Thermal Paste
Remove the CPU to clean off the thermal paste that has been currently applied. Scrub it gently with a q-tip coated in rubbing alcohol until all of the paste is gone. Place a pea sized ball of thermal paste and return the CPU to it’s socket.
Using a drill and a wide circle bit (1” or larger) drill a hole in the back cover, then glue mesh over the hole to prevent foreign objects from entering.
Your screen froze and you can not get off of the page you were on anymore.
Device Is Overworked
Using a lot of programs simultaneously could make the device run more than it could handle and make it freeze. Restart the device by pressing the power button. Wait a few minutes before turning it back on.
Screen Is Broken
If restarting the device does not work, the screen may be the problem. You would need to replace the screen by first purchasing a replacement screen. You can purchase one from this website: https://notebookrepair.co.uk/index.php?c.... Once purchased, you can follow the replacement guide here.
Device Has A Virus
Viruses could damage your software and make your device malfunction. You would need to reboot your device and install anti-virus software.
The buttons or joystick do not respond to pressing.
Test pressing the buttons or moving the joystick. If they seem to stick or grind against the casing, there may be dirt or foreign particles inside the button housing. First try a Q-tip slightly damp with rubbing alcohol, or try scrubbing with a soft electronics cleaning brush. If this fails, try a can of compressed air.
If the buttons do not stick but are unresponsive, it could be a problem with the software, try restarting the device.
If cleaning and restarting have not fixed the problem, the button or joystick may be faulty. However, many of the controls can be accessed on screen with the stylus. As a workaround, replace the buttons and joystick controls with a USB or bluetooth connected keyboard and mouse.
Lastly, if applicable, broken buttons can be replaced.
