Camera Will Not Turn On
No matter what you do, your camera will not turn on.
Low Battery
Your camera will not turn on if the battery charge is low. Try plugging your camera into its charger. Allow the camera to charge until the red light on the charger turns green indicating that it is fully charged.
Charging Cable Malfunctioned
If the light on the charger is green but your camera still won’t charge, you may need to replace your charging cable.
Battery is Dead
If the above steps were not successful in turning your camera on, you may have a dead battery. Refer to our guide on how to replace the battery.
Display Screen is Unresponsive
The screen of your camera is frozen and you cannot do anything.
Camera is Frozen
Try turning off the camera and removing the battery. Wait thirty seconds before replacing the battery and turning the camera back on.
Replace Screen
If any part of your screen is cracked, the touchscreen may stop working and you will need to replace the screen. Refer to our replacement guide.
Lens Will Not Retract
You cannot get the lens on your camera to retract.
Low Battery
If your battery is low the camera will automatically turn off but the lens may not retract. Try charging your camera, and then turning it back on. The lens should retract. If it does not, turn off the camera and remove the battery. Reinsert the battery and power the camera back on. The lens should now retract.
Menu and Control Buttons Will Not Work
You are pressing the buttons on your camera but nothing is happening.
Low Battery
One cause of this could be low battery. Turn off your camera and charge it completely before turning it back on.
Frozen Display
If your camera is frozen, and nothing is working, hold the power button until it turns off. Remove the battery, wait a few moments and reinsert the battery.
Broken Buttons
If the above is not successful, the buttons are broken, and you should refer to our guide on how to replace them.
Blurry Pictures
Your pictures continually are blurred.
Dirty Lens
Try cleaning the lens with a soft cloth.
Check Focus
Make sure your camera is focusing on the subject before taking the picture. If the display isn’t focused the picture will come out blurry.
Not Enough Light
If you are in low light, make sure your flash is on and your subject is in range of the flash. Check your settings and choose a different focus setting if the flash does not help.

The problem is this...I set the camera on AUTO and it starts to run through all the settings and I can not take a picture. Also, when I try to send on WiFi, the program shuts down in the middle of the operation. What is going on.

I have the same issue. Any solutions yet?

Wow, I thought I was the only one dealing with that problem. My camera started skipping through settings at random moments
6 months after i purchased it.

I have the same issue and so does my friend. I called Samsung and they said that the camera is NOT defective and NOT recalled. It is also out of warranty so I would have to bring it to a dealer to have fixed. I knew other people must be having this problem. It is irritating that I was told it was not the case. I was told to reset to factory settings and take out the battery, No improvment!

I have the same problem and my warranty just expired this year. What have you done to resolve it?
normoylesuzanne -
I also have that problem.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. But also frustrated because it wasn't covered as my warranty has expired shortly before I called them. Anyone know how to fix the issue? Or even what is causing the issue?

I have this same problem and worst of all the camera is out of warranty. John from Nigeria.

Nobody has help on this issue? Seems to be a problem starting slowly and grows worse - I have three identical Cameras (except the Color) - and now the last one starts the problem, too.

Same problem here!!!! What's the deal Samsung? Is there a fix or do we need to trash the cameras?

I also have the same problem and have been trying to deal with it, My camera is also out of warranty and it goes through the mode when trying to take a picture. ronaugermd@gmail.com

Also I do have continues problems with the WB350F. All the times it is switching to different modes, so never can I take good shots. On top of that, the battery is completly death! Didn't use it that much, but bought in store Cosco in USA, but living in Holland. Any help (FROM SAMSUNG!) would be nice.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!! it seemed to weird to think it was common. mine started less than a year after purchase flipping thru all the screens right when you start to take a picture. I sent it for warranty service, then less than 6 months later it started the same thing again but of course now it is out of warranty and they want to charge. i said no thanks i guess i will be stuck with a bad and unreliable product.
jhopkins56 - Yanıt
i have the same problem. it was super bad for a while i could barely get a picture in. finally, by chance as i thought changing card might make a difference,…it did not. then i took the battery out and it is better now. still does it sometimes but nothing like before.

My AUTO mode jumps from different functions back and forth intermittently,, makes it hard to capture a good shot right away because you have to wait until the screen goes back to the camera viewing. My solution is i turn the function to “P” (program mode) Set the white balance to auto, ISO to Auto, Auto Flash… press the Fn button on the right. Everything works better now.
Phil Wong - Yanıt
i tried that. I take it that you have to keep it in P mode. Auto is still screwed up.
Richard -
I did that and auto is still messed up. I take it that you have to keep it in P mode.

Same Problem. Hate Samsung now.
oreo8417 -
I Have the same problems- Jumping from Auto to Program mode, not taking the pictures and so on. My problem is worst because here in Brasil Sansung service is awful. They even have a spare batery for the camera. If I'll go to USA, they will say that the warranty is off because I bought a few years ago. This do not happen with Nikons or Canons……

My camera has the same problem with bouncing through settings. I also called Samsung, and got the same speech that the camera is out of warranty. How can we all have the same problem, but the manufacture say that it is NOT a defective product? Shame on you Samsung!

My camera is doing this same thing , but I can’t even take a picture on auto anymore. I can turn to any other setting and take picture, but not on auto. Has anybody else experienced this issue?

I have the exact same problem and called Samsung, and not even they can help. And yet, it says right on the box “PLEASE STOP AND READ CAREFULLY: If you experience technical when operating your Samsung digital camera or if the camera is not working properly, please contact the Samsung technical support center for assistance. PLEASE DO NOT RETURN THE PRODUCT TO THE STORE WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED. Our expert technical support team will evaluate the problem and provide the service your product requires. Please call 1-800-SAMSUNG (726-7864)
Which I did, and the guy was totally lost and couldn’t help me. He didn’t have ANY info on cameras, and had never dealt with cameras.
This is ridiculous, as I have now spoken to quite a few people and it would seem that NO ONE is able to fix a Samsung camera, not even Samsung itself. Not very good for business I would say…

Temporary fix for a manufacturing defect.
Jeanne Chabot - Yanıt
Basically, you just put a few drops of isopropyl alcohol around the base of the functions dial and then you work the alcohol in by turning the dial (switching functions) for about 30 + seconds. Be sure to TAKE OUT YOUR BATTERY FIRST and decharge the camera after taking the battery out by pressing on the on/off button a few times.
All this does is clean out the dial, and the camera works again. It is a temporary fix. But at least it works.
Jeanne Chabot -
Thanks for the link! It works for awhile but then i have to do it again ! Wonder if i can remove the dial an the drop some alcohol !
Phil Wong -
I have the same problem and unfortunately the extended warranty ended before the problems started. What can be done besides the temporary fix mentioned by Jeanne. I don’t want to buy a new camera as this one is just over 2 years old. They should last a lot longer. So disappointed with this product.

Like many others, I have a barely used wb350f that switches through the modes after every few pictures. Basically at any given time whether I'm taking photos, going through the menu or transferring photos . It doesn't matter which mode its set on (P, A, S, etc). The suggestion of alcohol around dial has not helped any at all, and after completely disassembling the camera to see under the dial, there is nothing there that cleaning with alcohol could benefit; so I take that it's a software issue or something to do with the control board itself. I have searched & searched for the solution and haven't found it.
Michael Lynn - Yanıt
Update to my comment above. Apparently mine seems to be working now after disassembling the camera and putting everything back together… who knows why that is, but I would assume there was a loose connection someplace. I had to solder one of the wires back because I had broke the fitting off. It is the only individual wire there is. Maybe I'm wrong but I just took about 200 photos in auto, P, A modes and there was no problems.
Note: if you attempt to disassemble the camera as I did, be sure the wires are pushed back all the way into their clips when you put everything back togather. For instance, if the display wire isn't pushed in all the way it may not work at all or it will be very dark regardless of its setting be on auto, bright, dark, etc.

With the same questions being asked about random setting switching while in camera mode. Where’s the answer to these identical questions because I’m having the same issue here.
TheRudeDogShow - Yanıt
Jeanne Chabot posted a link above, to a video of a fix: remove the battery, then squirt some rubbing alcohol underneath the dial (wet a cotton ball with the alcohol, then squeeze it out inbetween the dial and the camera body, or use a syringe), or use a spray can of electronic contact cleaner. Then rotate the dial a bunch of times to work the alcohol inbetween the metal contacts inside the dial mechanism to clean off what seems to be oxidation on those contacts. Apparently the contacts oxidize quickly—maybe the manufacturer “forgot” to apply a gold surface layer. After you squirt in the rubbing alcohol, wait about fifteen minutes before you reinstall the battery, to let the water in the rubbing alcohol evaporate, or else it might short out some electronics inside the camera and fry it. Preferably use 91% rubbing alcohol instead of 70%, since 91% will introduce less water into the camera. This process works for many people, but not everyone; when it does work, it might be only temporary for some people.
johnsawyercjs -
I have the same problem. There is a product called contact lubrication that might make the alcohol fix last longer. I’m not sure where you can buy contact lubricant. (The lubricant protects the contacts from oxidation while still making a good electrical contact.) After cleaning with alcohol, you would add a few drops of the lubricant to switch to protect the contacts.

I really like this camera…but I’m having the mode changing issue also. I found a video on YouTube that give a suggested solution…I’ve tried it and it seems to work but I’m sure eventually it will damage the camera. If you choose to try it, do it at your own risk. Search for samsung wb350f mode changing manufacturing.

Carlos Ramos - Yanıt
It’s a switch contact problem. You need to clean the switch to solve it. Use a dab of alcohol or better yet, use electronic contact cleaner. Use a cotton swab and go around the selector switch dial. Rotate the switch positions to make sure the solution gets in and cleans the contacts. (Don’t drench the switch, it just takes a tiny bit of fluid to wick in and clean the contact surfaces.)
I hope that helps.

I set mine to p instead of auto. No problem. With panoramic setting

Congrats to people that work in this site.
I have the camera with the top right rotary selector (auto, WiFi, etc) that doesn't make a good contact (I think) with the proper function. I.e. if I select Auto and I try to push just a little to auto focus the image, it doesn't work.
Furthermore, pushing the shot pushbutton, it doesn't take the picture.
Does anyone here had same experience? How to solve? Thank you...
