Sony Alpha NEX-C3 Troubleshooting

The camera will not respond or show any sign of powering up.

Ensure the battery charger is working properly. When charging the battery, check to see if the light on the battery charger is on . If the light is not on, the adapter is faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement battery charger.

If the battery charger works properly, and the camera will not power on after the battery is charged. Then, the battery is faulty. Replace the battery using this guide.

Lens is not connecting to the Lens Mount.

Check the model of the lens is suitable with the Sony Alpha NEX-C3. If not, purchase a suitable lens.

Check the connection part of Lens. If the connection part of Lens is seriously attrited and can not connect to the Lens Mount, consider purchasing a replacement Lens.

Check the connection part of the Lens Mount. If the connection part of the Lens Mount is seriously attrited, replace the Lens Mount using this guide.

LCD screen is black and shows nothing.

The LCD screen relies on power. If the camera does not show other signs of powering up, refer to the above section:"Camera Will Not Power On". If the power is functioning, then the LCD screen is faulty. Replace the LCD screen using this guide.

Control wheel in the back is spinning but nothing is happening.

The control wheel that allows one to scroll between photos or do other tasks is made up of a motherboard and mechanical parts. If the control wheel still spins and moves like it should, then it means that the motherboard is faulty. The motherboard for the control wheel can be replaced using this guide.
