Sony SRS-XB23 Not Connecting with Bluetooth

If your Sony SRS-XB23 won't connect via Bluetooth with your device, this page may have a solution.

Ensure the device you’re trying to connect to has Bluetooth enabled.

• For an iPhone, go into device settings, then Bluetooth and toggle it on if it is not already enabled.
• On a Android Device, go to Settings, then Connected Devices to Connection Preferences. Finally, hit bluetooth and toggle it on.
• For a PC, Bluetooth should be automatically enabled. If it is not enabled, go to device settings and turn it on.

This speaker needs to be turned on and in pairing mode to connect to a new device.

• Press the power button the the back of the speaker to turn it on.
• A green light will appear under the power symbol to show the it is turned on.

After powering on, the speaker should automatically be in paring mode. When the SRS-XB23 is in paring mode a blue light under the bluetooth symbol will light up. This will allow the speaker to appear under your Bluetooth settings.

• To start paring mode, press the bluetooth symbol once. The blue light should start flashing.
• The device should appear under under bluetooth setting for the device you are attempting to connect to.

Being far from the speaker makes it harder to connect.

The recommended maximum distance from the speaker is 98 feet to ensure proper connection. Bring the connecting device or speaker within 5 feet of each other when connecting.

Low battery, while allowing the speaker to power on, can cause it to not connect or have a weak connection.

• Plug the speaker in and let it charge before trying to connect.
• While the speaker can be used while plugged in, it is recommended to let it charge first, then unplug and use it.
