Short term Battery Life
The camera shut doesn’t stay on for long.
Charging-port Issues.
If the camera’s battery life doesn't last for long there could be a couple of issues, first make sure the charging cord isn't loose and the charging port is cleaned.
Audio Quality is Poor
The stream audio quality doesn’t sound the way it should.
Connection to the internet is poor
If the audio quality is poor try moving the camera closer to your router as it may be a connection issue if it is placed too far.
Connection to the app is malfunctioning
Make sure you and your device aren't too close to the camera, try going to another room before testing the audio quality.
If neither of these options works, you can submit an app log within the Wyze app. Go to ‘My Account’, ‘Help & Feedback’, tap ‘Report an Issue’, and create a support ticket.
Night vision quality is poor.
If night vision is not working, there can be several issues.
Night Vision is off
Open live stream for the camera and cycle the night vision settings through auto, off, and on.
If night vision is selected but doesn’t look as expected, unplug the camera and allow 5-10 seconds before plugging it in again.
The camera is positioned incorrectly
If night vision is on, but the image looks completely black in the dark, that is a sign that the IR lights are turned off. To make sure the IR lights are turned on, check the advanced settings and the ‘Night Vision IR Lights’ option to make sure it is on.
The Software Continues to Crash
The software crashes a lot of the time you use it.
The software needs to reboot
You can factory reset your camera by pressing and holding the setup button on the bottom of the camera for 10 seconds while the camera is plugged in.
Software update needed
A cause for the software crashing could be that you don't have the latest version to work properly. In the Wyze app, tap the settings gear on the top right. Then tap device info and then firmware version.
If there is no option to upgrade, then your software is already up to date.
The camera keeps randomly losing power
Connection to the camera is consistently getting lost.
Power cable is not working properly
Make sure you are using the provided power cord and if that still doesn't work, change the cord to see if that corrects the issue.
If that still doesn’t work, try a different outlet or adapter. Also, ensure a connection with your power cord is less than 16 feet.
Network activity is poor
You can also try power cycling the device by unplugging it for about 30 seconds and plugging it back.
