iPhone 5s: iPhone 5s Logo flashes then black backlit screen

Ok so I have this iPhone 5s that was sitting around for a while. I charged it up and it powered on just fine. I was hoping to get some photos off the phone. It was charged up to full, then I left it around hoping to get to transferring the files but got distracted so it ran out of battery, the next thing I knew it would not boot. When I press the power button the logo flashes for about half a second then it goes to a black backlit screen. I feel like I have tried just about everything. I had another 5s around and I switched the logic boards in them, same issue. I have tried a few of those recovery software programs that promise to not lose data through updating to no avail. It boots straight into recovery mode and is still recognised by iTunes but I haven't tried to restore yet as I was hoping to keep the data but I have assumed that this must have been a hardware issue. I know it may be wrong to assume that if I haven't tried restoring but I don't understand what could have caused this. As I said it was fine one minute and the next it just wont boot. I suppose my questions are, are there any data recovery options that could actually preserve the data? I have heard of 'professional data recovery services', does anyone have experience with these? Or should I try heating the A7 or NAND chips? Also one more thing I may mention, I believe I have read that you should still be able to power on the device with the battery disconnected while it is plugged in, is this true? Because I tried this and it will not power on. Perhaps there is a short somewhere?

iPhone 5s: I poked my iPhone 5s' battery. What do I do?

I was prying my iPhone's battery out with a plastic ruler, because I didn't know it had pull tabs, and I heard a crinkle in the paper. I know it is punctured because it has a sweet smell at bottom. No smoke, flames, or heat, but I am scared to try and pry anymore. What do I do?

iPhone 5s: Why my Battery drains so Fast?!

Hi there!

I have an iPhone 5S which I traded a broken Galaxy S6E for.The phone looks good, problem is that the battery drains a bit quicker than expected. It gets a bit warm but very little. It continues to drain overnight or in my pocket, Wien 20/30/40% randomly shuts down and it doesen’t accept all the cables. He gave me the original cable which seems to work for now.I’ve read on the Internet that it may be iOS 11.2.1 that causes issues, but not sure.

iPhone 5s: Screen not responding/has a mind of it's own when typing after repair

Basically, I dropped my phone, screen-first, onto a hard floor. It cracked really badly. I thought to myself, "I successfully repaired an iPhone 4S screen many a time, and as that involved taking the phone to pieces, how hard can a 5S be when you remove the screen from the front, right?"

Wrong.

I watched the iCracked YouTube tutorial (I didn't buy my screen from them, I got it from Htechy). I realised you had to replace the button (which the hole didn't line up with on the screen, despite the screen being a more expensive one) and the camera and speaker and all that jazz. I did it all, put it back together and it seemed to work fine. Home button was a bit sketchy with the placement of, but it worked completely fine. The ear-speaker and front-facing camera worked too. I thought "Brilliant!". But after a few minutes, the screen would not respond to my touch or would type by itself (i.e. spam a key. usually on the left side such as E and D), but only for a second. After a few hours, the same problem kept happening worse and worse, but I would just lock my screen and unlock it and it would work pretty fine. But now, 2 days later, I can barely use it because:

It types by itself

It scrolls by itself or rejects my swipes (i.e. to close apps after a double tap of the home button)

It won't pick up my touch

I don't know what's wrong with it and I don't know how to fix it. I can try fixing it if I know the issue. I doubt any phone shop would touch it now I've done it, either.

Thanks.

iPhone 5s: Not charging after battery replacement

I recently replaced my battery with one I bought from ifixit. It worked fine for a few weeks but suddenly it stopped charging. When I connect the charger it indicates that it charges but the battery does not charge at all. I opened the phone, disconnected and reconnected the battery and it seemed to be OK for the next weeks. Since yesterday I have the same problem again and the same trick did not do anything at all. Any ideas?

Update (11/23/2019)

Thank you all for your help. An update: I checked the charger port flex cable which seems fine. Then I disconnected the battery and when I plug the charger the phone shows the apple logo. The battery cable also seems to be OK. Maybe the battery itself is faulty? Should I ask for a replacement battery?
