[Troubleshoot]Toshiba Satellite L505D-GS6000 turns on but no display

Asking for troubleshoot advice/tips on my Toshiba Satellite L505D-GS6000 which currently turns on but has no display.
Before I experienced this problem twice the display did not come after opening the lid after being a sleep.
Have already tried hooking up to a external monitor, clearing static, moving around the RAM sticks and trying cheap replacements sticks from Amazon, turning the laptop on without a keyboard installed.
The only things I have seen online that I haven't tried are getting a new ac adapter, without the harddrive, and the f8/shift/power key(would need to buy a new keyboard).
Any advice/tips?
