I currently have a MacBook pro Unibody late 2008 5,1. It has a boot loop issue that I cannot seem to figure out. But that’s another story.
Anyways, I was looking at possibly getting a hold of a mid 2012 9,1.
I know that the 5,1 Unibody design is different from the 2009 on, but are the connections for the top lid the same internally? If I find a 2012 that has a bad or missing LCD, could I swap the top lid with the 2008?
