Ok to keep lithium battery plugged in charger?

So I just replaced my old swollen battery in my laptop with this new battery:  [product|IF117-048]

Is it good for the new battery if I keep the laptop plugged in its charger all the time?  I.e. use the laptop as a desktop?   TIA.
