Windows 7 upgrade, now sound drivers needed.
I have tried all drivers provided by hp, still no sound.
Can you help me please

Digitale, apparently you are not the only one. Do a Google search on that particular problem. Most of them are resolved by doing a clean install of Win Vista, let all the drivers install, then install win 7 update. Or you can try this, download the HP Compaq nx6125 Notebook PC*-* Conexant AC97 Audio Driver for Microsoft Vista (32-bit) from here Extract but dont install. Go to c:swsetup and rename the 2 files: camc6aud.sys and camc6hal.sys to camcaud.sys and camchal.sys and copy them to c:windowssystem32drivers and restart the laptop.

You may get the drivers in Windows update, if you have installed a new OS that hasn't been used on your system before then your computer may not be programmed to work with that operating system. This means there will be no drivers available in this case.

http://server88-208-222-62.live-servers.... the same problem finding drivers for the zd8000 pavilion HP laptop that I was upgrading to windows 7. found all the answers and drivers at the link above .
They tell you it can't be done well trust me it can go to the link above to find the drivers you need and more, info ,support and even windows downloads.
I've had my zd8000 since new and paid a big dollar for it and HP ditched us on the drivers to upgrade from xp shame on them. Good luck

I have sent you no spam although this site (Fix-it) atts ads like update your XP good luck with this it helped me out with my zd8000 upgrade to wins 7

Yes, use Device Manager to select the driver you want to update, right-click and select Update Driver to confirm the prompt. If auto does not work, use the options to select the appropriate driver.

Does your sound card show in device manager? Does it show normal or does it have an exclamation point?
