Why wont it scroll up?

I love apple but this is driving me nuts the scroll wheel on the mouse will not scroll up any more it will scroll down.

I have tried to clean it by spraying it with cleaner turning it upside down and rolling it along cleaning cloth.

That worked on a few occasions but now even that has stopped working please can anyone help.

Does your mouse look like this?

If so, the wheel might just be dead. There's well-documented failure of the mighty mouse's scroll wheel.
