Phone 4 turns off suddenly. Reboots fine. What's my problem

I may be talking on the phone and suddenly the phone powers down. I can restart phone without problem. What's my problem?

sounds like a battery problem, try changing it. its not normal for an iphone to do that.

I thought so. Replaced battery. Now have intermitant situation of no SIM card installed message but goes away after iphone does a search.
