Amit Lal, it is possible that your hard drive has failed or just the boot record. Set you computer BIOS to boot from an optical drive. Then use a copy of a Linux Live CD and see if you can boot from that CD. If you can, scan the hard drive and if you gain access to it, copy all the vital file to a USB drive. After that you could try to re-install the Windows OS. If your drive is not accessible, you may have to replace it and try to recover your data through some recovery software. I prefer Puppy Linux and you can do a quick search for it and copy it. Hope this helps, good luck.

I checked the hard disc in another laptop too, but it is not detecting. so could you tell me any way to recover the data. As I have important official data inside the hard disc.

first you need to see if you can still access the drive. Use your computer, but change the BIOS. Boot from CD and see if you have access to your drive. Use either a LINUX or a copy of Hiren's Boot CD. You will have to have access to the drive in order to copy files to a different medium, i.e. USB drive.

Hi,

If you have tried testing it on other system and it is not getting detected then it must have be electronically damaged the media card which makes it next to non recoverable unless you find exact media card for disk.

Good Luck.
