How to restore an iPod that its home button does not work?

I had just finished putting on a new screen and I knew that the home button didn't work before I changed it and it does not power on anymore. I have left it charging but I want to attempt to restore it but I cant do it since the home button doesn't work so what can I do? Can I do it via computer?
