Is The LCD screen Compatable with classic?
Hi I was just wondering if the LCD of iPod video is compatible with the Classic?

NO, the LCD from the 5th Gen. iPod is not compatible with the 6th. Gen and vice versa! It looks the same, it has the same connector, but it doesn't works (tried it on my own).

thanks, i've been wondering this for a while, and assumed they were compatible since they have the same spec.

I believe so, you may have to re-apply the adhesive though. The screens are the same size and resolution, and the connector looks the same, but you may want to wait for a second opinion.

Thanx Guys.. The reason i asked is coz I tried it the hard way..(swapped the displays) But only got a back-lit light no display (on the classic)! Just wanted to be sure it was not a motherboard issue.
