Hi, I have been facing this issue for a long time. My screen goes black at random while the mac book is running ok. In order to view the screen, I have to move the screen back and forth several times and it randomly starts showing the screen. Can you please let me know what I can do to fix this? Sounds like the inverter cable is breaking down. Review this IFIXIT guide MacBook Core Duo Inverter Cable Replacement. If you do decide to replace the cable I would also replace the invert its self.
