Passcode Locked late 2010 MacBook Air
Hey guys.
OK i have been asked to look at a macbook air late 2010 it has been locked with a passcode through iCloud.
Normally i wouldn't touch this as generally they are lost or stolen but this one someone has hacked the previous owners iCloud & locked the Macbook Air rotten gits even left an on screen message of mwhahaha.
They have been in for a genius bar appointment with the former owner who has all the receipts & proof of ownership but they were told there is nothing they can do But the genius who served them did hint to search in google to maybe find an answer.
There is something we can do any Mac that is locked with a passcode this way if you take out the drive & mount it on another Mac you can go into the settings & recover the 4 digit passcode. The only problem here is its an Air which has flash storage so finding a way to dock it or get it to mount as a drive is a bit difficult.
The Mac as its locked up cannot be opened in target disk mode to connect it to another Mac.
I have searched for a dock or some way to mount it without success.
I do have a mid 2012 Macbook air which is mine i also have a 2013 macbook air in for repair but neither area compatible the connections are all different
Any advice, Suggestions or anyone have any experience with this issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys.
