Iphone 3gs screen is black. I set it on a wet counter a while back but after a few days it worked fine. A year later it now has not light. I can see albeit dim that it functions perfectly. I'd like to repair it or have it repaired but none of the places I call will even try.
What parts and tools would I need? would the display assembly solve the issue?

I would buy a full assembly with LCD and digitiser so you don't have to do any work taking the LCD out.. Here's a guide all you need is a Phillips screw driver and suction cup
