If you have the back off the display (you'll have to do that eventually anyway) on the bottom there's a manufacturers tag with part and model information. The vendor should be able to cross reference from that to identify which screen you need.
I would want a grantee from the vendor that you will not be charged restock or return fees if you do this and still get a wrong part. Also if you pay with credit card or Paypal they will help you if a dispute arises. . . if you write a check you're on your own.
If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it accepted.

dan, what connector are you exactly referring to. Obviously not the LVDS connector?

Sorry but I am unsure what connector they are referring to their email is as follows:
This Macbook has assembled 2 different screens.
One with connections of 40 Pin and 6 Pin and the other one with 40 PIn and 11 PIn.
Please check your connections and let us know which one you need.
Regards
Dan

I actually have both MacBooks... the iSight camera on the mid 2013 MacBook Pro Retina has a 6 pin connector, and the mid 2014 MacBook Pro Retina has 11... I know the question is old, but hope that helps.
