Will not power up with switch or USB

My kindle will will no longer power up. Even plugging in the USB has no effect, it will not even register on my PC.

I have this same problem and purchased a new battery from AliExpress, and it still doesn't work. When I plug it in the orange light goes on but nothing seems to charge. It is still the battery or what? Amazon didn't have an answer, suggesting replacement.
