Why is my 2ds, cracked from the inside.
My 2ds, is cracked from the inside, its not cracked from the outside its cracked from the inside.

Hi it sounds like you have a broken LCD screen. The 2ds actually uses just one screen for both of the screens shown. You can purchase a replaced screen and fix the 2ds fairly easily and by following a guide here on ifixit. Nintendo 2DS Screen Replacement

Ok so i was cleaning my corner bookself and i was putting my 2ds in the box it came in and it slid out and landed on the floor and when I turned it on it had black with white lines across the top screen. I still heard the music and the touch screen worked but i could not see through the black and white lines. PLZ HELP

If your on here it is becase you craked a 2ds this how to fix it. Frist,you buy a new screen you can get one Amozon.com then you take the back of the ds off then when you see the craked screen you very carefuly take it out then you replace it with the new one now you got a good working ds. plz comment if you nedd help on anything eles :) thankyou

How much technical skill do you need to do this and how risky is it for someone who is quite inexperienced with technology???
I did it and I barely had any idea what I was doing.

The same has happened to me. It is because the LCD screen has been cracked causing it to leak. The easiest way to fix it is just to send it into a repair shop.

You can buy one online from walmart for my 3ds and thare was one for 2ds for 23.00

I had the same problem I accidentally step on the touchscreen of my 2ds and I heard a snap sound and when I turned it on there was white colored cracks on both screens of the 2ds.

I have a cracked screen and the touch stopped working. The screen still comes on it just won't let me touch anything on the screen. Any ideas?

The reason why this is happening is because you need to buy a new LCD screen for your 2DS because the on you have broke.

The LCD screen is broken, I'm suffering the same fate and the outer screen is not helpful, I suggest getting a case

I did this too it was on my bed and got crushed, all you have to do is buy a new one and replace it or bring it to a repair shop. If none of those are okay with you then just buy a new one.

I just had this problem too, it happened right after I completed the first Mine Cart minigame of the remake of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga. The fact that the cracks don’t appear when the 2ds is off makes me think either the cracks are inside the glass, or in the software.

I do not Know how to fix it but the reason that this happened is pressure on the screen. As an example if you put it in a full backpack there will be pressure on the screen.

Mine fell in its case from a bag on my door handle and I heard a snap I turned it on to see black with red, green, blue and whit cracks running in it but not actual cracks on the screen
Yes my cousin fe on my 2DS by accident and now it looks like a pen just busted on the inside and it's spreading

And also it's all mainly on the bottom screen but I can still come somewhat see and the games are still playable it's just the screen

I have this same problem, it has happened to me twice with two different systems. Both were the black and blue 2ds, when I turn them on, it simply shows a pitch black screen with glowing white cracks running through it.

this also happend to my 2ds. i was walking in the stair hallway and my friend bumped me and my ds fell down the stairs. .....now i have to tell my parents =-=

James, the same thing happened with my 2Ds. It fell off my top bunk. I must have banged it off in my sleep, and the screen was on a metal bar in my room. I turned it on, and it was black, with cracked glass in the inside, with glowing white lines.
