My laptop will turn on and start up but as it is it has multiple colors strobing across the screen. It was working fine yesterday and I came home today and turn my laptop on and found it like this. Please help! I have tried turning it on and off, removing and putting back the battery and pretty much everything. What should I do? Every time i mouse the flashing gets progressively worse.

Do you have access to an external monitor you can plug in? If you do does the problem show up on it? If it does the graphics chip has failed. You'll need a new logic board at that point. If not the issue is within the internal LCD screen. Which means the LCD will likely need to be replaced or the cable to it is damaged.

Did you bang or drop your system or sit something heavy on it?

I haven't set anything heavy on it. It stays on my night stand and I dont touch it. It was working fine and occasionally I'll bump it on accident but it always end up not doing this.
