How can I fix this HDMI issue?

I have a samsung rv515 laptop that has a broken laptop screen and can't see through it. When i turn it on and connect it to hdmi, nothing shows up. I waited about 5 minutes before connecting it to the tv. I have did this before when the screen was not broken. However, it seems to me that there must be a boot up problem. Any Suggestions? I have no idea what to do with this.

Hello john sayre

  • Check whether any corrosion or dust in the HDMI connector
  • Connect HDMI cable to notebook turn on TV or monitor
  • Press and hold FN key and twice or 3 times press F4 Key
  • you can see enabling external display
