1 Are upgrades on this iMac worth it? (SSD already installed)
Recently I decided to breathe some life back into the old family iMac, it is an early 2008 model
24inch, 2.8ghz intel core 2 duo, 2gb ram, ATI radeon HD 2600 Pro 256mb and now has a 256gb macbook pro SSD installed.
Yes you read right a MBP Retina SSD,
I was given a water damaged macbook from a friend that spilt water on it a few years ago and have had it in their cupboard for the last two years.
I installed the ssd along with an adapter into the iMac and it started up without a hitch, however I am wondering if it is worth continuing the upgrades or just ditching the iMac on Gumtree (Like ebay & craiglist)
If i keep the iMac my parents will just use it for netflix, browsing and tv so not really being pushed hard at all, the only catch is the screen appears extremely yellow so it could be up for a new panel which will run me another $100
The other question I have is, if its possible to test the Macbook to see if it still works because I would happily invest some time and money into getting that to work.
(Extremely vague question/s, any input would be appreciated)

Also see what an external monitor shows. If it's yellow it's the graphics card otherwise your right it's the display.
