My camera just started to fail to recognize any memory card that is inserted into it. The cards are good and can be read by other devices, such as my computer.

I have the same problem with both types of card (MSpro-HG Duo and SD). I had that first with the SD card and can continue to use Memory Stick Pro, but since a couple of months, it can't recognize all types.

An input from tech SONY would be grateful to help on how to fix it. How to disassemble the part of the memory slot to fix or check the connection.

Same exact problem in my A57 its common. I tried a $5 SD slot cleaner (see Amazon) but it didn't work. Photo Tech Repair Service (360 W 36th st, NYC) charged me $27 to tell me the main circuit board is bad (apparently some cameras have a separate SD component, but not so for this model- its all 1 part). Estimate, parts $195, labor $160, tax $29 minus cost of estimate, exceeds value of camera . Im hunting for a cheaper repair service. Any suggestions?

Sony SLT Alpha-65V Motherboard Replacement says its a 40 min process on a similar model (A65) so thats some pricey labor charge.

my a57 is not reading the sd memory card. after a couple of minutes the message that the card can not be read and to reinsert the card appears. It does this for all cards inserted-and all have previously been used by the camera. Any ideas?
