2 Replaced screen, backlight very dull.
Just replaced the LCD assembly after smashing the original (sadface). Made sure everything is connected properly and the screen works as it should but the backlight is extremely dim (still works however).
If i try to adjust using the settings the screen reaches maximum brightness after about 20% of the slider, any slider movement above this makes no change to the bightness of the backlight.
Has anyone come across this before?
p.s. The screen was bought from a vendor on eBay claiming to sell OEM replacement parts. Compared side by side to the original screen that came out of the phone, there were next to no differences in the production quality apart from the original screen had a black paper-like cover on the back of the LCD and the replacement part had a shiny mirror like cover.

Not solved as of yet. I'm reading about there being something on the motherboard that I need to jump. Debating whether to do this or just claim on the insurance and pay my excess.
