My clock is dim,how can I brighten the clock screen

I had to completely remove the radio out of the dashboard. its tedious, but that is the only way to replace the bulb that lights up the clock display. Now when I say the clock display I mean the two digits to the left of the clock screen. Anyway the only hard part is getting at the clock bulb, once you have done than, then you are home free. Its not a fuse or wiring, as I first thought, it was the bulb. A quick easy test is to slightly hit the face of the clock screen with your finger and you will notice the bulb flicker, if it goes bright and then sys lit for awhile then its your bulb. I have talked to a few people with the same problem, and they have done exactly the same test as I did. Then get ready for some work. So having done it, I don't think I will bother to take the time or trouble to take the whole radio out. If you can live with it then do so. Alex
